Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 August 2026
This policy explains what personal data Ronesi handles when you use this website or contact us, why we handle it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have. It is written to meet the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Spanish Data Protection Act (LOPDGDD 3/2018).
01Who we are
Ronesi organises private luxury events across the Canary Islands, Spain. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us about anything in it:
- Email: hello@byronesi.com
- Phone / WhatsApp: +34 623 024 460
- Office hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00–18:00 (Canary Islands time)
- Based in Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain
02What we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us through the enquiry form or by contacting us directly:
- Your name (a first name is enough)
- Your contact detail — a WhatsApp number or an email address
- Details about the event you are planning: type of event, approximate date and guest numbers, approximate budget, and any free-text notes you add
- The content of any message, email or WhatsApp chat you send us
We do not use analytics, advertising trackers or third-party cookies on this website, and we do not buy or enrich your data from other sources.
03Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To respond to your enquiry and to discuss, plan and deliver an event for you — legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering a contract, and performance of that contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
- To keep records of our correspondence and quotes — legal basis: our legitimate interest in managing enquiries and keeping business records (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
- To meet legal obligations, such as tax and accounting rules — legal basis: legal obligation (GDPR Art. 6(1)(c)).
We do not use your data for marketing unless you separately ask us to, and we do not make automated decisions about you.
04How the enquiry form works
The form on this site does not send data to a server of ours. When you finish it, your browser opens WhatsApp (or your email app) with the information pre-filled, and you decide whether to send it. Until you press send, nothing leaves your device. Once you send it, we receive it as an ordinary WhatsApp message or email.
05Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- Meta Platforms (WhatsApp) — if you contact us over WhatsApp, your message and number are processed by WhatsApp under Meta's own privacy terms.
- Our email provider — if you contact us by email.
- Our hosting and IT providers — who keep this website and our systems running.
- Suppliers involved in your event (venues, caterers, transport and similar) — only the details needed to arrange the services you have asked for, and only once you engage us.
- Professional advisers and authorities — where required by law, for example our accountant and the tax authorities.
06Fonts and external content
This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). To deliver them, Google receives your IP address. Google states it does not use this data to identify you or for advertising. No other external content is loaded on this website.
07International transfers
WhatsApp / Meta and some IT providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, the transfer is covered by a European Commission adequacy decision or by Standard Contractual Clauses.
08How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Clients: for the duration of the project, and afterwards for as long as needed to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations (generally up to 6 years under Spanish law).
- WhatsApp chats: as above, kept within the WhatsApp app.
09Your rights
Under the GDPR and the LOPDGDD you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of your data (access);
- correct inaccurate data (rectification);
- delete your data (erasure);
- restrict or object to our processing;
- provide your data in a portable format;
- withdraw any consent you have given, at any time.
To exercise any of these, email hello@byronesi.com. We reply within one month. You can also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD), C/ Jorge Juan 6, 28001 Madrid — www.aepd.es.
10Cookies and local storage
We do not use cookies. The site stores one technical value in your browser's session storage (rIntro) so the opening animation plays only once per visit. It holds no personal data and is cleared when you close the tab.
11Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information (health details, financial account numbers, ID documents) through the form.
12Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The "last updated" date at the top always shows the current version.
